ITU-T G.729.1 (2006)/Amd.8 (03/2013) FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications, in
13、formation and communication technologies (ICTs). The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a
14、worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down
15、in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication ad
16、ministration and a recognized operating agency. Compliance with this Recommendation is voluntary. However, the Recommendation may contain certain mandatory provisions (to ensure, e.g., interoperability or applicability) and compliance with the Recommendation is achieved when all of these mandatory p
17、rovisions are met. The words “shall“ or some other obligatory language such as “must“ and the negative equivalents are used to express requirements. The use of such words does not suggest that compliance with the Recommendation is required of any party. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS ITU draws attenti

ITU takes no position concerning the evidence, validity or applicability of claimed Intellectual Property Rights, whether asserted by ITU members or others o

As of the date of approval of this Recommendation, ITU had received notice of intellectual property, protected by patents, which may be required to implement this Recommendation. 22、nnex G to ITU-T G.729.1 (2006) Annex G Reference floating-point implementation of the superwideband monaural extension as an alternative to the fixed-point implementation described in Annex E (This annex forms an integral part of this Recommendation.) G.1 Scope This annex1describes an alternative im
23、plementation of the ITU-T G.729.1 Annex E (superwideband scalable extension for G.729.1) codec based on floating-point arithmetic. It is fully interoperable with the ITU-T G.729.1 Annex E codec. This annex includes an electronic attachment containing the reference ANSI C source code for floating-poi
24、nt implementation, as well as the associated test vectors. G.2 Overview Annex E of this Recommendation provides a bit-exact, fixed-point specification of an algorithm for extending the ITU-T G.729.1 codec for superwideband speech and audio signals operating at the total bit rates of 36, 40, 48, 56 a
25、nd 64 kbit/s. Exact details of these specifications are given in a bit-exact, fixed-point C-code available from ITU-T. This annex describes and defines an alternative implementation of the ITU-T G.729.1 Annex E codec based on floating-point arithmetic. G.3 Algorithm description This floating-point v
26、ersion of the ITU-T G.729.1 Annex E codec has the same algorithm steps as the fixed-point version. Similarly, the bitstream is identical to that of the ITU-T G.729.1 Annex E codec. For algorithmic details, see ITU-T G.729.1 Annex E. _ 1This annex includes an electronic attachment containing the rela

ITU-T G.729.1 (2006)/Amd.8 (03/2013) G.4 ANSI C-code ANSI C-code simulating the floating-point version of the ITU-T G.729.1 Annex E codec defined in this annex has been developed and is available as an electronic attachment to this Recommendation. The ANSI C-code represents t
28、he normative specification of this annex. The algorithmic description given by the C-code shall take precedence over the text contained in the main body of this Recommendation. As of the date of approval of this text, the current version of this ANSI C-code is version 1.0 of January 2013. More recen

The structure of the floating-point source code faithfully follows the corresponding fixed-point source code. The code is
