20、all be adequate. The heating method shall be included in instructions when hot forming. There shall be a method of controlling heating temperature. When heat is required, instructions shall list maximum temperature permitted for each material. Metallurgical evaluation performed on the first piece an
21、d at established intervals. Records shall reflect metallurgical and dimensional evaluations. Procedures for controlling the manufacturing operations and lab analysis on heated formed parts for metallurgical and dimensional control shall be formalized and approved. Work instructions shall specify the
22、 Thread Series in fabrication. UNJFNNF Thread Series: Variable thread gages shall be used to measure the pitch and functional diameters. The minor diameter shall be measured. For external threads, the major diameter shall be measured. lhe root radius shall be measured (external threads/UNJF series).

25、7.5 For coated/plated threads, the pitch/functional diameters shall be within tolerance after coating/plating. If SPC is required on threads, there shall be evidence of data on thread key characteristics. ANPT Thread Series: Li, L2, and L3 ring/plug gages shall be used to verify pipe thread conforma
26、nce. The finish of the threads shall be verified to be smooth and free from flaws, blow holes, and abrupt terminations. FABRICATION OF SYSTEM CONNECTION: This section applies to the fabrication of system connection end(s) other than threads. The manufacturer shall have controlled design/fabrication

30、se. Test and inspection equipment shall be on a verifiable calibration schedule. Test and inspection equipment shall be calibrated. COMPLIANCE: Job Audits: Compliance to the requirements contained herein and customer requirements shall be verified by auditing in-process or completed jobs. The number
31、 of jobs to be audited shall be determined by the NADCAP Fluid System Components Task Group. A minimum of one complete job shall be reviewed for compliance to all customer requirements and the requirements contained herein. If multiple job audits are performed, selections of jobs should be based on
32、representative sampling of type of work, products, and customers. Product Verification: A minimum of one complete Product Verification shall be performed. The part shall be inspected for conformance to specifications and customer requirements.
