、 part of American National Standard X9.100-120 2004) This standard was developed at the request of financial institutions that use imaging in bank proof-of-deposit applications, especially when assisted with Convenience Amount Recognition (CAR). The standardized deposit ticket provides for the unifo

、rm location and designation of handwritten as well as machine written data elements and amounts; therefore, it provides benefits for check printers, equipment vendors, and users of automated proof-of-deposit systems. The Accredited Standards Committee X9 Financial Services approved the work item on

、standardizing bank deposit tickets in October 1994 and assigned this work effort to its sub-committee, X9B Check Related Transactions, who then formed the deposit ticket working group X9B8 for the purpose of developing this standard in January 1995. It was reviewed and updated in 1999. In 2003 this

、standard was again opened and revised to improve the specifications for commercial deposit tickets. In 2003, the ASC X9B revised the protocol by which all standards for check related transactions were named. The ASC X9B membership felt the specifications for core requirements for MICR, paper, imagin

、g and optical reading should be separated from the specifications written for the application of these core elements. As a result, this standards name was changed from its former reference of ANS X9.33 Specifications for Bank Deposit Tickets to its current title of ANS X9.100-120 Specifications for

、Bank Deposit Tickets. Suggestions for improvement of this standard will be welcome. They should be sent to X9 Secretariat, Accredited Standards Committee X9, Inc., P.O.
