CLASSIFICATION 1.1 Classification. This camnercial iten description covers one type of boot in whole and half s
2、izes 4-1/2 through i5 in one width, Wium. 1.2 Part or identifYi ng number (PIN) A document based PIN to identify sizes of boots is included in section 5 (see 5.4). 20 SALIENT CHARACPERISTICS. 2.1. escription. fie boots shall conform to mnai dei 100 or eql (see 5.5). The boots shall have a black poly
3、urethane shell canposed of separate foot box and flexible cuff pnits. The foot box shall have toe and heel plates caapatible With military crampons and ski bindings conforming to CID A-A-50117 (Craqons) and CID A-A-52051/CID A-A-5092 (Bindings). The inner boot shall be a themal liner constructed on
4、a last systan to insure proper fit. The thermal liner shall have a non-skid, rubber sole which shall extend 1/2 inch around the bottan. The imr boot shall be designed and constructed as a shoe, not as a slipper. 2.2 Foot box. The foot box shall be made fran polyurethane. A rubber rand shall extend c
5、cxapletely around the base of the unit, and shall be attached to the boot by rubber cement. It shall be recessed in the shell to provide a.smooth arter surface with the shell. The counters shall be made of black leather. They shall be reinforced with nylon, hich is sewn onto the inside of each counter. Th

A nylon gusset shall be sewn into the foot box to provide a 2.2.4 Hooks. Eight speed lacing hooks constructed of copper plated black finished
9、 steel sfiaiibe located on the foot box. Each hook shall be attached to the foot box by 2 rivets. 2.2.5 Eyelets. shall be located on the foot box for lacing purposes. Each eyelet shall l. attached by one rivet. Six eyelets constructed of copper plated black finished steel 2.2.6 Rivets. The rivets sh
10、all be made of 203 copper and have a black finish. 2.2.7 Sole. The sole shall be natural or synthetic rubber. The heel of the sole shall coxin a 3/4 inch thick anti-shock inlay +e of 1050 polyamide foam. 2.3 Thermal liner. The thermal liner shall conform to Lowa Denali model 210 i The next layer sha

15、rwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 3.2 Visual examination. With MIL-STR-105. expressed in units of pairs .of boots. boots. The acceptable quality levei (AQL) , expressed in terms of defects per himdred units shall be 2.5. requirements; any canpnent full, tight, or twisted; open
16、 seam; any size hole, cut, tear; any spot or stain clearly noticeable; any variation in size, or noticeable variation in color, appearance or finish in boots of a pair. 4.
