2、r all federa1 agencies. 1. SXE!.E. This CID covers requirements for general purpose and machinery dolly trucks with rectangular frames and four swivel casters. General purpose dolly trucks are intended for moving loads, not exceeding 454 kilograms (kg) (1000 pounds), over short distances on paved su
3、rfaces. Machinery dolly trucks are intended for use singularily or in pairs for moving machinery and other bulky loads, not exceeding 1089 kg (2400 pounds) per truck, over short distances on paved surfaces. 1.1 Classification. Dolly trucks shall be of the following types as specified (see 5.1): Type
4、 I - General purpose: 454 kg (1000 pound) minimum capacity, with rubber molded-on dolly wheels, 610 x 762 millimeters (mm) (24 x 30 inches). Type II - Machinery: 1089 kg (2400 pound) minimum capacity, with steel, plastic, or hard rubber dolly wheels, 457 x 610 mm (18 x 24 inches). 2. SALIENTCHARACTE
5、RISTICS. 2.1 Materiais. Unless otherwise specified herein: Materials shall be in accordance with the manufacturers material specifications for dolly trucks. The use of recovered material made in compliance with regulatory requirements is acceptable providing that all requirements of this CID are met

The dolly trucks shall consist of a r
8、ectangular frame and four swivel casters as shown in figure 1. The type II dolly trucks shall have two platform boards attached to the frame. Frame material shall be wood or steel for type I dolly trucks and steel for type II. Steel frames shall be of an all welded construction. The capacities and s

The casters shall be securely attached to the underside of the frame. each located as close as practicable to each of the
10、 four comers. If comers are rounded, the caster mounting plate shall be rounded concentrically or flush with the frame. The swivel casters shall be capable of fully swiveling with dolly trucks loaded to rated capacity. Caster size shalt be fully compatible with the rated capacity of the dolly truck.
11、 2.2.2 .ctrucktfomis. Each platform board shall be not less than 20.6 mm (13/16 inch) thick and 190.5 mm (7-1/2 inches) wide. Lengths shall be as required for the ends to fit flush with the 610 mm (24-inch) sides of the frame. Each board shall be securely fastened to the frame. Fastening devices sha

The dolly trucks shall withstand uniformly distributed loads of 200 percent of
13、 rated capacity (see table I) for 1 hour duration without evidence of damage, weld failure, distortion, or permanent deformation. 2.3.2 RoliinPg&. The uniformly loaded to rated capacity dolly trucks shall be capable of being pushed or towed on dry, smooth, level concrete surfaces with a maximum forc
14、e no greater than 2.25 percent of rated load plus the weight of the applicable truck. 2.4 and painted in accordance with the manufacturers own commercial practices. . 15、e dolly trucks shall be permanent and legible and shall include, as a minimum, the manufacturers identification code (CAGE), the contract number, the part identification number (PIN) (see 5-21, and the national stock number (NSN). 3. 16、ractor is responsible for the performance o all inspections (examinations and tests). 3.2 Contractorcertification. The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this CID and that the product conforms to the producers o
17、wn drawings, specifications, workmanship standards. and quality assurance practices. Items with known defects shall not be submitted for Government acceptance. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provid
18、ed for under the provisions of the contract. 4. PRESERVATION.CKBGING, PACKING,LABELING,AND_MARKING. Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract (see 5.1). 5. NOTES.
