7、ntegral and other non-flexible fuel tanks as well as pressurised cabins and other non-fuel tank areas. 26、 as specified in the relevant EN material standards. The base compound shall cure by the addition of a curing system. The curing system shall possess sufficient colour contrast to the base compound to permit easy identification of an unmixed or incompletely mixed sealant. 4 Definitions For the purpo

27、se of this standard the following definitions apply : 4.1 Qualification testing A series of tests to demonstrate that the product sample submitted for qualification satisfies the requirements specified in the material standard. 4.2 Acceptance testing A reduced series of tests to demonstrate that the

28、 characteristics of a particular production batch conform to the quality characteristics defined in the appropriate material standard. 4.3 Batch A production unit produced in a continuous run by a specified production process from a single mix of the same batches of raw materials. 4.4 Batch combinat

29、ion Combination of production batches of base compound and curing system tested and released for use. 4.5 New sealant A new sealant is a product which has never been qualified by a national body recognized by the aircraft industry according to requirements which are at least equivalent to those defi

30、ned by the relevant EN material standard. 4.6 Established sealant An established sealant is a product which has been qualified by a national body recognized by the aircraft industry according to requirements which are at least equivalent to those defined by the relevant EN material standard. 1 ) Pub

31、lished as AECMA Prestandard at the date of publication of this standard 2) In preparation at the date of publication of this standard Page 6 prEN 3624 : 1996 5 Test fluids The test fluids listed in subclauses 5.1 to 5.6 are defined for testing the properties after fluid immersion. The qualification

32、report shall state type and producer of fluids. 5.1 Test fluid No. I Test fluid i3 to IS0 18 17 5.2 Test fluid No. 2 This is a blend comprising 50 % (by volume) of test fluid No. 1 to subclause 5.1 and 50 % (by volume) of test fluid No. 4 to subclause 5.4. 5.3 Test fluid No. 3 Distilled water having

33、 an electrical conductivity of less than 5 pS/cm 5.4 Test fluid No. 4 Aqueous solution with 3 % sodium chloride 5.5 Test fluid No. 5 Fluid 101 as per IS0 1817 5.6 Test fluid No. 6 Oil No. 3 as per IS0 1817 6 Quality inspection 6. i Quality assurance The requirements as defined in EN 30, 6.2 Qualific

34、ation testing 2 shall ap(: Y- For qualification of a new sealant, the sealant manufacturer shall verify the values of the characteristics required by the relevant material standard, by subjecting a minimum of three separate batch combinations, consisting of three different batches of the base compou

35、nd and three different batches of curing system, manufactured under production conditions to the test methods listed in table 1, column 4. For an established sealant, only the values of one batch of base compound and curing system manufactured under production conditions are to be verified. The valu

36、es shall be satisfied and documented. Qualification shall be performed prior to the first delivery. The extent of qualification testing is specified in the relevant material standard. The manufacturer shall not change the production procedure unless prior written approval has been given by the purch

37、aser. If any change occurs relevant to the material standard or the certified production procedure, the user reserves the right to require a requalification at the manufacturer expense. Should the manufacturer not be in a position to perform the required tests on his own due to the lack of test faci

38、lities, they may be carried out by a materials testing laboratory approved by the customer. 6.2.1 Tests in as-delivered condition In accordance with table 1 STD.AECMA PREN 3b24-ENGL L99b LO123LL 0012634 b Page 7 prEN 3624 : 1996 6.2.1 .I For viscosity determination, a can shall be filled with the ap

39、propriate amount of base compound or curing agent, covered and stored at standard atmosphere IS0 554-23/50-2 for a minimum of 8 h. The base compound or curing agent shall then be thoroughly mixed by stirring slowly for 3 min after which the can shall be closed and the material allowed to stand for n

40、ot less than 1 h. The viscosity according IS0 2555 shall then be determined using a Brookfield RVF viscosimeter or equivalent at (23 k 2) OC. The reading of the highest value shall be taken after 1 min, yet after not less than three revolutions and converted in Pa.s. The chosen can shall provide for

41、 a spacing of not less than 30 mm between the spindle of the viscosimeter and the wall/bottom of the can. Spindle diameter and speed shall be as specified in the relevant material standard. Viscosity of base compound and curing agent 6.2.2 Tests in mixed condition In accordance with table 1 6.2.3 Te

42、sts in cured condition In accordance with table 1 Test sheets shall be prepared as specified in EN 31 10. Unless otherwise specified, curing shall be as defined in the relevant material standard. Curing times deviating sheets shall be indicated in the test report. 6.3 Acceptance testing 6.3.1 Sampli

43、ng The extent of quality control for the acceptance of the production bath shall be specified in agreement between manufacturer and purchaser. The manufacturer shall perform the tests in accordance with table 1. 6.3.2 Tests The tests defined in the material standard, allowing for table 1, shall be p

44、erformed by the manufacturer for each delivery. 6.3.3 Acceptance test certificate The manufacturer shall confirm the conformance to the requirements of this standard for each delivery by means of an acceptance test certificate 3.1.B according to EN 10204 (for example see annex A) to be submitted to

45、the purchaser. 7 Identification marking and packaging 7.1 identification marking 7.1.1 The individual containers shall bear, as a minimum, the following information: Identification marking of individual containers - Designation to material standard ; - Manufacturers product designation ; - Name and

The containers for the c

47、uring system shall be marked in such a way as to ensure unequivocal attribution of the corresponding base compound. 7.1.2 Shipping containers shall bear, as minimum, the following information: Identification marking of shipping containers - Designation to material standard ; - Manufacturers product

48、designation ; - Name and address of manufacturer ; - Date of expiry (month, year) ; - Storage temperature ; - Batch number ; - Number of individual containers ; - Cautionary marking ; - Purchase or order number. 7.2 Packing The individual containers for base compound and curing agent shall be so pac

49、ked in shipping containers as to prevent damages during transportation. Base compound and curing agent shall be separately filled in individual containers, closing of containers shall be airtight. Prior to closing the base compound containers, the remaining space may be filled with an inert gas and/or secured by other suitable means to ensure safe storage. For the purpose of dispatch, the individual containers (base compound plus curing agent) shall be packed together in a shipping container in a manner which prevents accidental separation of related individual containers
