1、Designation: D 913 03e1Standard Test Method forEvaluating Degree of Resistance to Wear of Traffic Paint1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D 913; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last rev

2、ision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.e1NOTEAdjunct references were corrected editorially in April 2006.1. Scope1.1 This test method covers the evaluation of degree ofresistan

Description of Term Specific to This Standard3.1 failure, described by these reference standardsthatcondition manifested in traffic paint by actual detachment ofentire sections of the film from its substrate or from paintpreviously applied. The degree of resis

It must be remembered that a highdegree of performance of paint applied to a bare road surfacemay not guarantee similar r

Type of Failure5.1 The failure as described in Section 3 does not presumeany specific mechanism, and all areas where the substrate isvisible shall be considered a failure.6. Use of Photographic Reference Standards6.1 The photographic refer

It is therefore necessary to use one of thefollowing grading methods:6.1.1.1 Select an area as representative and base the ratingof the stripe on this area or6.1.1.2 Grade segments of the stripe and average thesegradings.6.1.2 The photographic reference standards (Note 1) repre-sent four de
