Scope1.1 This practice can be used to evaluate the resistance of apre-stressed prepainted metal panel to cr

3、acking and loss ofadhesion, or both, after accelerated aging by boiling water.Most coil coated products are formed and bent into specificshapes to produce a final product. These operations introducestresses, which may be relieved by cracking of the coating afteraging.1.2 This standard does not purpo

4、rt to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to use.2. 6、o hold formed testspecimens.3.2 103 magnifier (optional).3.3 Scotch #610 adhesive tape or equivalent.4. Reagents4.1 Deionized or other water, as agreed upon by customerand vendor.5. Test Specimen5.1 Bumped, bent, drawn or otherwise deformed samples, tobe agreed upon between customer and vender. Thes

7、e should beprepared according to Test Methods D 2794, D 4145, andE 643, unless such methods do not existat which time thedeformed samples should be prepared in a manner agreed uponby customer and vendor.6. Procedure6.1 Examine the test specimens for cracking and tapepick-off (adhesion loss), and rec

8、ord the results.6.2 Place the formed test specimens in the boiling waterbath for one (1) min. Different times may be used if agreedupon by customer and vendor.6.3 Remove the test specimens and allow them to air dryand cool to room temperature.6.4 Inspect the test specimens for cracking and adhesionl

9、oss, or both, then repeat the tape adhesion test.7. Report7.1 Report the observations regarding cracking and adhe-sion loss, or both.7.2 The degree of cracking and tape pick-off allowed shouldbe agreed upon by customer and vendor. Report substrate,coating system, production or preparation date, crac

10、king andtape pick-off noted before boiling water aging, and crackingand tape pick-off noted after boiling water aging.8.
