TCC Traffic Code Channel A portion of a radio channel used to enable transmission of one direction of a digitized voice or d

TCP Transport Control Protocol A standardized transport protocol between IP-based network nodes that allows two hosts to establish a connection and exchange streams of data. TCP operates on top of Internet Protocols and handles the multiplexing of sessions, err

20、or recovery, reliability and flow. It guarantees packets are delivered in the same order in which they were sent. TCP/IP Transport Control Protocol/Internet Protocol A set of protocols that allow cooperating computers to share resources across the network. TCP provides the reliability in the transmi

21、ssion, while IP provides connectionless packet service. TDD Time Division Duplex A digital transmission method that combines signals from multiple sources and allows a single channel to alternately carry data in each direction of a link. TFTP Trivail File Transfer Protocol A TCP/IP method consisting

22、 of a client and server and used to transfer files between two or more sites or elements in a network. ToS Type of Service A bit-pattern in each TCP packet, in the IPv4 TOS octet or the IPv6 Traffic Class octet, is used to mark a packet to receive a particular forwarding treatment, or per-hop behavi

UDP User Datagram Protocol A communications protocol that offers a limited amount of service when messages are exchanged between computers in a network that uses the Internet Protocol (IP). UDP is an alternative to the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP.) UHF Ultra-high Fre

General term for any product primarily used to gain access to the Internet, as opposed to being part of the actual Internet devices or software. 1.2 MCSB - General Description MCSB shall be defined at the first three layers of the networking protocol s

28、tack (Figure 1): Layer 1 - Physical Layer 2 - Data Link Layer 3 - Network Figure 1 - MCSB Layers 1.3 MCSB Air Interface Protocol Layers 1.3.1 Physical Layer Overview The physical layer defines the modulation, multiplexing, Time Division Duplexing (TDD) framing, power control, and timing synchronizat

29、ion. It treats both circuit-switched and packet-switched data in the same way. ATIS-0700001-2004 8 1.3.2 Data Link Layer Overview The Data Link Layer contains two sub-layers: Media Access Control layer (MAC layer) and Logic Link Control layer (Link layer). The MAC layer is responsible for channel as

30、signment, reassignment, release, and processing of data packets. The Logic Link Control layer processes both circuit-switched and packet-switched data. The Logic Link Control for circuit-switching packs and unpacks the control signal packets, processes them, and sets up the voice connection with an

31、appropriate vocoder channel. The Logic Link Control for packet-switching implements the data framing and the Selective Retransmission Protocol (SRP). 1.3.3 Network Layer Overview The Network Layer performs packet classification/prioritization, Ethernet bridging, and Operation, Administration, and Ma

32、intenance (OAM) messaging, and is the interface to the core network. 2 MCSB AIR INTERFACE PHYSICAL LAYER 2.1 General This clause describes the MCSB Physical Layer structure. 2.2 System Frequency of Operation 2.2.1 Channel numbering and frequencies MCSB is capable of operation in any frequency band.

33、RF frequency = starting frequency of the band + n * 0.05; (where 0.05 is the frequency raster expressed in MHz) Where the RF frequency is given in MHz, n is the channel index: n = 0, 1, 2, maximum raster value in the band of operation - for example, in the 2.5GHz band (MMDS) n = 0 thru 3720, equival

34、ent to 186MHz. 2.2.2 Duplex operation The MCSB shall utilize Time Division Duplex. 2.3 TDD Frame Structure (System Timing) 2.3.1 System timing with respect to GPS timing All BTS transmissions shall be referred to a common system timing that is synchronized to Global Positioning System (GPS) timing,

T1 = n*C, n can be any integer from 0 to 32. C is the chip duration = 64T = 2.5 s. 2.3.2 Timing tolerance The absolute system timing error

36、shall be +/-200ns (deviated from GPS timing). 2.4 Time Division Duplexing 2.4.1 TDD timing synchronization The BTS transmit and receive shall be synchronized to the system timing as shown in Figure 3. 37、 period shall be 10ms, and the total number of symbols, including uplink and downlink, shall be 125. 38、d in clause 2.8.1.6. REF This shall be a one-symbol field to serve as a reference symbol for differential demodulation. Forward/Reverse traffic This field contains the traffic information. GUARD It is the guard time between uplink and downlink. A four symbol (4s) guard time shall be reserved after t

39、he downlink and before the uplink. A one symbol (s) guard time shall be reserved after uplink and before the downlink. SYNC1 Transmitted by a terminal seeking uplink synchronization and random access. Reference 2.8.2.3. SYNC2 Shall be transmitted by a terminal that has been on the TCC channel to mai

40、ntain uplink synchronization with the Base Station. It also will serve the purpose of channel identification. Reference 2.8.2.4. n This shall be an integer from 0 to 7. As a minimum, n=0 (symmetric mode) and n=4 (Forward: Reverse=3:1 ratio) shall be supported. 2.4.3 TDD symmetry broadcast The symmet

41、ry setting of the TDD frame shall be broadcast in the two middle symbols of the forward SYNC. (Figure 5 and Table 1). 43、Channels (Walsh Codes) 2.6.1 Mapping among forward physical channels and basic code channels The Mapping shall be per Figure 7. 2.6.1.1 Sync The sync shall be mapped to Walsh code 1, the only active Walsh code in the sync period. 2.6.1.2 Forward Access Code Channel The Forward Access Code Channel (F

44、-ACC) shall be mapped to Walsh 1 in the ACC/Traffic Code Channel (TCC) period in sub-carriers 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. 2.6.1.3 Forward Static BCC The Forward Static Broadcast Code Channel (F-SBCC) shall be mapped to Walsh 1 in the ACC/TCC period if it is unprovisioned. It is mapped to Walsh 2 if it is pro

45、visioned. It shall exist only on sub-carriers 1, 3, 5, 7,and 9. 11 ATIS-0700001-2004 2.6.1.4 Forward Dynamic BCC The Forward Dynamic BCC (F-DBCC) shall be mapped to any unoccupied Walsh codes in the TCC/ACC period. 2.6.1.5 Forward Traffic Code Channel The Forward TCC (F-TCC) shall be mapped to any W

46、alsh code in the TCC/ACC period except for Walsh codes used by ACC/BCC. 47、ccess period. 2.6.2.2 Reverse Sync 2 Reverse Sync 2 (Sync 2) shall be a special training sequence (cyclic Pseudo-random Noise, or PN). 12 ATIS-0700001-2004 2.6.2.3 Reverse ACC Reverse ACC (R-ACC) shall be mapped to Walsh 1 in the ACC/TCC period. 2.6.2.4 Reverse TCC Reverse TCC (R-TCC) shall be mappe

48、d to any Walsh code in the ACC/TCC period except Walsh codes used for ACC. Figure 8 - Reverse Code Channel Map 2.7 Concatenation of physical channels When more than one physical channel is required to support high data rates, multiple physical channels shall be concatenated to form one large virtual

49、 channel. There shall be two concatenation approaches: Horizontal and Vertical. 2.7.1 Horizontal In horizontal concatenation, the traffic data shall be arranged on a physical channel along the time axis first (from 1 to 55s+n*7s), where n = value 0 to 7 defining the degree degree of asymmetry (Reference 2.4.2) and then warped back and the next physical channel filled in with continuous Walsh indices (Figure 9) 13 ATIS-0700001-2004 Figure 9 - Horizontal Physical Channel Concatenation 2.7.2 Vertical In vertical concatenation, the traffic
