、 with a shortened setting time Part 12: Composition, requirements and conformity assessment for cement with a high quantity of organic constituents This standard deals with cement no longer covered in DIN 1164-1:1994-10. When EN 197-1 (for normal cement) was implemented as DIN EN 197-1:2001-02, ceme
、nt with a high content of organic constituents was not included in the residual standard DIN 1164:2000-11. Part 12 has subsequently been developed to account for this. 1 Scope This standard is to be used in conjunction with DIN EN 197-1 for normal cement and DIN 1164-10 for special cement. It specif
、ies requirements for the composition and manufacture, and for the mechanical, physical and chemical properties of special cement with a high content of organic constituents, and the procedures to be followed when checking such cement for its compliance with these requirements. 13、 the general requirements as specified both in clause 4 of DIN EN 197-1:2004-08 and in the present standard. 5 Constituents The constituents of cement conforming to this standard shall be as specified in 5.1 to 5.4 of DIN EN 197-1:2004-08. The content of additives shall not exceed 1 % (m/m). Where t
、he content of organic constituents in the dry cement exceeds 0,5 %, this is to be indicated on the bag or in the delivery note. Additives shall not have any corrosive effect on reinforcement. Only modifiers listed in Annex A of DIN V 18998:2002-11 shall normally be used. Otherwise proof of suitabili
、ty of the modifiers shall be provided. NOTE This proof may take the form of a specific or general agrment. Where additives (except those used to control the setting behaviour of SE type cement) contain modifiers that are also used in admixtures for mortar, concrete or grout as in the DIN EN 934 seri
、es and that tend to modify the cement properties, their type as in DIN V 18998 shall be indicated on the bag and/or delivery note. DIN 1164-12:2005-06 4 6 Composition The composition of cement with a high content of organic constituents shall be as specified in Table 1 of DIN EN 197-1:2004-08. 7 Mec
、hanical, physical, chemical and durability requirements Cement with a high content of organic constituents shall meet the mechanical, physical, chemical and durability requirements specified in clause 7 of DIN EN 197-1:2004-08. Where cement contains highly liquefactive additives, these may cause cha
、nges to the consistency of the cement paste or mortar produced, which in turn may entail certain modifications to the physical test methods described in DIN EN 196-1 and DIN EN 196-3, as follows. a) Strength testing as in DIN EN 196-1 When filling the mortar into the mould, the material may segregat
、e or settle. To prevent this, 0,1 % to 0,2 % by mass of organic stabilizer1)(in relation to the cement) shall be added to the mortar, which is not to be compacted when in the mould. After filling, the mould shall first be covered with plastic film and then with a glass plate. NOTE If the flow diamet
、er of the mortar exceeds 240 mm, the strength test as in DIN EN 196-1 will presumably have to be modified. The flow diameter shall be determined using the flow table as specified in DIN EN 459-2, but after lifting the mould, without any prior jolting of the table. b) Determining the standard consist
、ence as in DIN EN 196-3 Testing shall be repeated with pastes containing different water contents until one is found to produce a distance between plunger and base plate of (6 1) mm. Since the addition of only a few drops of water may cause a marked change in the cement paste consistence, the latter
、 cannot be determined to the specified accuracy. In this case, the tolerance on the above dimension (of 6 mm) may be enlarged to become 3 mm. 8 Standard designation Cement with a high content of organic constituents shall be designated at least by the symbol denoting the cement type (cf. Table 1 of
、DIN EN 197-1:2004-08), the figure (32,5, 42,5 or 52,5) indicating the strength class and the code letter N or R denoting the early strength class of the cement (cf. 7.1 of DIN EN 197-1:2004-08). Any special property as specified in DIN 1164-10 shall be indicated by the appropriate code letter as sha

Any deviations in chloride content from Table 3 of DIN EN 197-1:2004-08 (cf. footnote f in that table) and deviations from the loss on ignition of fly ash as in 5.2.4.1, 2ndparagraph, of DIN EN 197-1:2004-08 (cf. 5.3.4.1, 3rdparagraph, of DIN
、 EN 197-1:2004-08) shall be given after the standard designation. DIN 1164-12:2005-06 6 11.2 Granting and withdrawal of certificate of conformity 11.2.1 The inspection body shall provide the certification body with the following documentation: a) a report on initial inspection (if any

、he results of third party inspection testing and of factory production control (including autocontrol testing) shall be assessed and reported to the certification body (cf. subclause 5.6.3 of DIN EN 197-2:2000-11). 11.2.4 If the assessment referred to in subclause 11.2.3 is satisfactory, the certifi

、turer shall notify the inspection and certification bodies as soon as the stock of cement is depleted. The relevant certificate of conformity shall then be withdrawn without delay. The certificate of conformity is also to be withdrawn if third party inspection can no longer be carried out. 11.2.6 Ce
