SCOPE. This commercial item description covers
2、 the requirements for a T-shirt to be worn by Air Force personnel as part of the Physical Conditioning Uniform. 2. CLASSIFICATION. The T-shirt shall be of one type and class. 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. 3.1 Description. The T-shirt shall be short sleeved with a high crew neck collar (See Figure I).

The lettering shall be of the same style as shown in Figure II, except that the letters shall be 2 inches in height. The screen print shall ma

The T-shirt shall be fabricated from jersey knit material having 55 2 5 percent cotton and the remaining percentage polyester. The material
6、shall weigh 5.5 5 0.5 ounces per square yard, have a minimum of 30 wales per inch and have a minimum of 45 courses per inch when tested in accordance with ASTM D-3887. The material shall have a minimum bursting strength of 75 pounds when tested in accordance with ASTM D-3787 and shall not shrink or
7、elongate more than 10 percent when tested in accordance with AATCC Method 150 using normal washing cycle. The material shall match the standard sample for shade Lt. Heather Grey 466 (see 7.4). 3.2.1 Matchinq. The color of the finished cloth shall match the standard sample when viewed under filtered
8、tungsten lamps that approximate artificial daylight and having a correlated color temperature of 7500+200K, with illumination of 100+20 foot candles, and shall be a good match to the standard sample under incandescent lamplight at 23005200K. 3.3 Label. Commercial type label is acceptable except that
9、 it shall also have a label with the contract number and NSN. The commercial label shall provide the size, care instructions, and fiber content information. 3.3.1 Label/taq. Each item shall be individually bar-coded with a paper tag for personal clothing items. The paper tag shall be standard bleach
10、ed sulfate having a basis weight of 100 pounds. The paper used for the tags shall have a smooth finish to accept thermal transfer and direct printing. The tags shall have a hole and shall be attached to each item by a fastener, clearly legible and readable by a scanner. The bar coding element shall
11、be a 13 digit national stock number (NSN). The bar code type shall be a medium to high code density and shall be located so that it is completely visible on the item when it is folded and/or packaged as specified and so that it causes no damage to the item. 2 Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduc

The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 5.2 Visual examinatio
15、n. The T-shirts shall be examined for the defects fisted in paragraph 5.3. 5.3 Defects. Any hole, cut, tear, color not as specified; thread ends not removed or not trimmed; any component missing or not as specified; seam twisted, puckered, open; needle chew or tight tension; label incorrect or illeg
16、ible; logo incorrect, illegible or misplaced; measurement or design of T-shirt not as specified. 5.4 Market acceptabilitv. The item offered, or a generic equivalent, must have been sold to the commercial market or to the Government for at least 2 years. 5.5 Warranty. The item offered shall include t
17、he standard warranty given to the commercial market beginning with the date of delivery of the individual items. 6. PACKAGING 6.1 Preservation, packincl, and markinq.
