8、ch has been elaborated with European participation. This standard is one of a series of standards specifying methods of test for determining dimensions and properties of wood-based panels. No existing European Standard is superseded. This European Standard shall be given the status of national stand
9、ard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by August 1993, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 1994. It applies to whole flat boards. The

14、322 EN 326- 1 Wood-based panels - Determination of moisture content Wood- based panels - Sampling, cutting and inspection Part 1: Sampling and cutting of test pieces and expression of test results1) 3 Principle Thickness, length and width of full size boards are determined by linear measurement. 4 S
15、ampling Sampling of panels shall be in accordance with EN 326-1. 5 Moisture content at time of measurement Normally the dimensions of boards are measured in the as-received state. If necessary the moisture content of the boards shall be determined in accordance with EN 322. 6 Conditioning If necessa
16、ry, the boards shall be conditioned to constant mass in an atmosphere with a relative humidity of (65 f 5) % and a temperature of (20 f 2) OC. Constant mass is considered to be reached when the results of two successive weighing operations, carried out at an interval of 24 h, do not differ by more t
17、han 0,l % of the mass of the board. Page 3 EN 3241 : 1993 7 Apparatus 7.1 Instrument for thickness measurement Micrometq or similar measuring instrument, having flat and parallel circular measuring surfaces of (16 f 1) mm diameter and an operating force of 4 N f 1 N. The graduation of the apparatus
18、shall allow a reading to 0,05 mm. 7.2 Measuring instrument for length and width measurement Steel measuring tape, accurate to 1 mm. 8 Procedure 8.1 Determination of thickness of boards Measure the thickness approximately 50 mm from the edges, at points located in each corner and in the middle of eac
19、h side, i.e. at eight points in all (see figure i), to an accuracy of 1 % of the thickness but to not less than 0,l mm. For measuring the thickness, apply the measuring surfaces of the instrument slowly to the panel surface. 8.2 Determination of length and width of boards Measure both the length and
20、 width of each board along two lines parallel to and at a distance of 100 mm from the edges (see figure i), to an accuracy of O, 1 % but not less than 1 mm. 9 Expression of results 9.1 Thickness For each board tested, the arithmetic mean of the measurements shall be calculated and expressed to the n
