6、3.9 COLD ADHESION No failure. Test Method: Spray three 10 x 10 in (250 x 250 mm) batts of ESB-M17H86-A or 1/2 in (13 mm) ESB-M12G47-A with the adhesive at the average rate of 20 g/sq ft (210 g/m2) (wet weight). Air dry the adhesive 1 min only. Adhere the batts to 12 x 12 in (300 x 300 mm) primed ste
7、el panels. Roll the batts forward and back, and repeat at a right angle to the direction of first roll, with a 10 in (250 mm) roller weighing 10 lb (4.5 kg). Air dry each assembly at 23 +/- 2 C for 24 h. Condition the assemblies and a slamming fixture (as described in FLTM BV 101-01) in a cold box m
8、aintained at -23 +/- 1 C for 3 h. Slam in the slamming fixture for a total of 6 complete cycles (Refer to BV 101-01, Procedure “A“, Steps 12, 13 and 14). 10、gies, Inc. 3.13 DILUTION The adhesive shall not separate when diluted one to one with M-14J147, Petroleum Light Naphtha, after standing 24 h at room conditions (23 +/- 2 C) 3.14 TOXICITY The material shall be non-toxic and shall not cause skin rash or irritation (dermatitis) to exposed handlers in n
11、ormal production operations. The maximum concentration of parts of vapor per million parts of air shall not exceed 500 ppm. 3.15 STORAGE STABILITY The fluid adhesive settles out during storage, resulting in loss of adhesive properties. The adhesive must be re-circulated or agitated prior to initial
12、use to insure that no resin separation has occurred and periodically if low volume usage causes resettling. The adhesive shall have a minimum shelf life of 120 days when stored in sealed, unopened drums out of direct sunlight at ambient temperatures of 16 - 32 C. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The informati

The Manufacturing Engineering Department shall notify both the Plant Security and the Safety Units of its presence in the Plant to assure that proper fire precautions are provided. The location in which it is used or stored shall be included in the notifications.
