SCOPE Scope - This specification covers

R3QTJIREMENTS 3.1 - Material - The synthetic rubber furnished under this specification shall be a vulcanized elastomeric compound which is electri- cally conductive and fuel resistant (see 6.3 and 6.4). 3.1.1 -

12、 Age - Material shall not be offered for delivery more thm nine (9) months after its cure date. 3.2 Form Unless otherwise specified, the rubber shall be furnished in extruded, solid, flexible rod or tube form 0.250 2 0.025 inch in diameter, or sheet or film form 0.020 5 0.005 inch in thickness. leng

19、wise spec- ified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the Government reserves the right to perf

20、orm any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. for acceptance of individual lots shall consist of tests for all require- ments specified in Section 3. I Sampling for quality conformance inspection - Size of lot - For the purposes of inspection a lot shall consist of all material of the same type produced from the same batch of rubber compound, and offered for delivery at one time. 4

If the number of defective samples exceeds the acceptable number for the appropriate sampling plan of Standard EL-STD-I05 at acceptance quality level (AQL) 2.5 percent, the lot represented by the samples shall. be rejected. Results of

29、 accordance with ASTM Method D257-61, using a low resistant ohmmeter, or equivalent, with 10 percent accuracy. Lead discs, 2 inches in diameter, shall be centrally located on one face of the specimen. The guard disc shall be a concentric ring of 2.28125 inches inside diameter, with an outside diamet

30、er equal to that of the specimen. The unguarded disc shall be 4 inches in dianieter, applied to the opposite side of the specimen. The guarded electrode is a brass cylinder 2 inches in diameter and 1 inch in thickness. The guard electrode is a brass ring of 2.28125 inches inside diameter, an outside

31、 diameter equal to that of the specimen, and 0.125 inch thick. inches in diameter and 0.375 inch thick, The surface resistance measurement shall be made between the guarded electrode and the guard electrode. 35、e successively immersed in aromatic fuel conforming to type III, of Specification MIL-S-I, and in alkylate fuel conforming to type I, of Specification MIL-S-3136, under the conditions specified below. after the following phases, as a percent change of the original volume: Volume change data shall be

41、roll is packed .in the fiberboard container, the rolls shall be separated by fiberboard sheets, both vertically and hori- zontally, conforming to Specification PPP-B-636, class I. Gross weight shall not exceed 70 pounds. 5.2.2.2 Rubber sheet or film, packaged as specified in 5.1.1.2, shall be packed
