The valves. supplied under this military specification sheet shall conform to MIL-V-81940 of the latest issue in effect on date. of invitation for bid or request for proposal, except, the p
6、roof pressure may be 600 psi, the leakage and valve operating pressure may be 300 psi, and the impulse operating pressure may be 300 psi. Valve shall be actuated by a rotary type knob or push button. Release of the knob or button shall automatically return the valve to the closed position. The rotar
7、y type knob shall be fully opened with a maximum rotation of 180 degrees. The valve knob or button return . mechanism shall be independent of the valve poppet allowing the valve poppet to close automatically by fluid pressure upon release or failure of the-:knob or button return mechanism. Torque re
8、quired to actuate the rotary knob type valve to a full open position shall not exceed 10 inch-pounds with operating pressure applied to the valve inlet. Force required to actuate the push button type valve to a full open position-shall not exceed 25 pounds with operating pressure on applied to the v
9、alve inlet. Valve shall have a protective cap with secondary sealing provisions. Protective cap. shall include a security chain or equivalent to prevent loss of the cap. Valves qualified under MIL-V-81940 that differ only in the threaded terminations will be acceptable under this slash sheet. Part N
