VERIFICATION 4.1 Classification of inspection. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. First article insp

33、ection (see 4.2) b. Quality conformance inspection (see 4.3). 4.2 First article inspection. The first article submitted in accordance with 3.1 shall be inspected as specified in 4.3 and 4.7 for compliance with design, construction, workmanship, and dimensional requirements. 4.3 Conformance inspectio

34、n. Conformance inspection shall include the tests of 4.7 through 4.8.2 as applicable. Unless otherwise specified, sampling for inspection shall be performed as specified in this document or in the contract or order (see 6.2). 4.4 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contr

Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance o

36、f the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.

37、5 Responsibility for compliance. All items shall meet all requirements of Sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not re

Where Certificates of Compliance are submitted in accordance with TABLE IV, they shall contain verifiable actual test and inspection data. The Government

40、reserves the right to inspect such items to determine the validity of the certification. 4.7 End item inspection. 4.7.1 Yard-by-yard examination. The tape shall be examined on both sides for the defects listed in TABLE III. All defects found shall be counted regardless of their proximity to each oth

41、er, except where two or more defects represent a single local condition, in which case only the more serious defect shall be counted. A continuous defect shall be counted as one defect for each warp-wise yard or fraction thereof in which it occurs. The lot size shall be expressed in yards. The sampl
