During the failure analysis, a defective solder joint was found on a lead connection to a printed circuit board, analysis indicated the solder was contaminated with room tempera
3、ture vulcanizer (RTV) silicone potting compound. Records revealed that this defect occurred prior to the requirement to train and certify the solder technicians to the aerospace quality standard DOD-STD-2000.Lesson(s) Learned: Contamination of solder can result in connection defects and failures in
