5、er Filled Virgin Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Moldings or Extrusions RATIONALE This document addresses the specific properties of 15% aromatic polymer filled virgin polytetrafluoroethylene. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin filled with 15% aromatic

6、polymer in the form of extruded or molded rods or tubes which are sintered after molding or, in the case of extrusions, sintered during the extrusion process. 1.2 Application These products have been used typically for compressor rings and seal components in both static and dynamic applications requ

7、iring excellent wear resistance against soft metals such as stainless steels and dimensional stability up to 450 F (232 C), but usage is not limited to such applications. Each application should be considered individually. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS See AMS3678. 3. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Basic Spec

9、ense from IHS-,-,-SAE AMS3678/15 Page 2 of 23.2 Material All products shall be molded or extruded from virgin polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) powder conforming to ASTM D 4894, Type II or Type IV, uniformly blended with the specified fillers. The blended powder shall consist of 15% 2% aromatic polymer

10、 and the remainder virgin PTFE powder, filler percentages measured by weight. 3.2.1 Fillers 3.2.1.1 Aromatic Polymer It is recommended that the aromatic polymer should be highly crystalline, uniform in size and have excellent thermal stability. It should be P-Oxybenzoyl Homopolyester or equivalent.

11、3.3 Properties The product shall conform to the requirements shown in Table 1.
