5、g AMS4048M Aluminum Alloy Sheet and Plate, Alclad 5.6Zn - 2.5Mg - 1.6Cu - 0.23Cr (Alclad 7075-O) Annealedor when specified, “As Fabricated” (Alclad 7075-F) (Composition similar to UNS A97075) RATIONALE AMS4048N updates the F temper requirement (3.2.2), restricts tensile properties to 1 inch, max (Ta

6、ble 5), and introduces a UT inspection requirement (3.4.1) to facilitate cancellation of AMS-QQ-A-250/13. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of sheet and plate, clad on two sides supplied in the annealed (O) condition. When specified, product shall be supplied

7、in the “as fabricated” (F) temper. 1.2 Application These products have been used typically for formed structural parts which will be subsequently heat treated, but usage is not limited to such applications. 2. 8、chase order forms a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. The supplier may work to a subsequent revision of a document unless a specific issue is specified. 31、to 1.000 inches (12.70 to 25.40 mm) shall be ultrasonically inspected in accordance with ASTM B 594 and shall meet the requirements of 3.4.1.1 (See 8.4). 3.4.1.1 Plates shall meet the requirement for ultrasonic class B for plate 0.500 to 1.000 inches (12.70 to 25.40 mm) in nominal thickness. 3.5 Tol

32、erances Shall conform to all applicable requirements of ANSI H 35.2 or ANSI H 35.2M. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The vendor of the product shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser re

33、serves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements. 4.2 Classification of Tests 4.2.1 Acceptance Tests Composition (3.1), tensile properties as annealed (3.3.1.1) (not applicable to F temper) and after res

34、ponse to heat treatment to the T62 temper (3.3.2), and tolerances (3.5) and when specified by purchaser, the ultrasonic quality (3.4.1) are acceptance tests and except for composition, shall be performed on each inspection lot. 4.2.2 Periodic Tests Bending as annealed (3.3.1.2) and after response to

35、 heat treatment (3.3.2.2) and cladding thickness (3.3.3) are periodic tests and shall be performed at a frequency selected by the vendor unless frequency of testing is specified by purchaser. 4.3 Sampling and Testing Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 36、r networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-SAE AMS4048N Page 6 of 74.4 Reports The vendor of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report stating that the product conforms to the composition and tolerances, and showing the numerical results of tests on each inspection lot to determ

37、ine conformance to the technical requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, inspection lot number, AMS4048N, size, and quantity. The report shall also identify the producer, the product form, the producer lot number, and the size of the mill product. 4.5 Resampling and Retest

38、ing Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Identification Shall be in accordance with ASTM B 666/B 666M. 5.2 Packaging 5.2.1 Product shall be protected from damage during shipment and/or storage by a method determined by the vendor unless specified by the purchaser. Typ

39、ical examples of protective measures include, but are not limited to, interleaving with paper or oiling of the surfaces. 5.2.2 Product shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with ASTM B 660 and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging and transp

40、ortation of the sheet to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 6. ACKNOWLEDGMENT A vendor shall include this specification number and its revision letter in a quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders. 7. REJECTIONS Product not conforming to this specification, or to modifications aut

41、horized by purchaser, will be subject to rejection. 8.
