REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Pre roduction. Th

Selection of speclfications and standards., Specifications and standards for necessary commodities and services not specifled herein shall be selected in ac

9、cordance with MIL-STO-143. 3.3 Materials. 3.3.1 Nonmagnetic materials. Nonmagnetic materials shall be used, for all parts of the transmitter except where magnetic materials are essential. -3.3.2 Nonfeyrous materials; Nonferrous materials shll. be used for all parts of the transmitter except where fe

10、rrous materials are essential . 3.3.3 Metals, Metals shall be of a corrosion-resiktant type or be suitabwated to resist corrosion due to fuels, salt spray, or atmospheric conditions encountered in storage or normal service, 3.3.4 Dissimilar metals. Dissimilar metals shall not be used in intimate con

11、tact with each other unless suitably protected against electrolytic corrosion. Dissimilar metals are defined in MS33586. The transmitter shall be of such materjal and construction that when burned, fumes or gases that combine with the atmosphere to form acid or corrosive alkali will not be 1 i berated. of the transmitter that are subject to deterioration when exposed to climatic and environmental conditions likely t

13、o occur during service usage, shall be protected against such deterioration in a manner that will in no way prevent compliance with performance requirements of this specification. The use of any protective coating that will crack, chip, or scale with age or extremes of climatic and environmental con

14、ditions shall be avoided. 3.3.6 Protective treatment. Materials used in the construction 3.4 Design and construction. 3.4.1 Desi n. The transmitter shall be designed to sense the measurement into an electrical signal for use of indicators conform- ing to MIL-1-58098. The transmitter shall not requir

15、e use of an ampli- fier to provide this signal to the indicator. The transmitter shall be of simple design and shall be easy to maintain. Bearings, gears, or parts that are subject to frictional wear or brinelling shall not be used. Elastic constraints shall be used for guidance and control of all m

28、of this test, the transmitter shall be subjected to scale error test. Errors shall not exceed tolerances specified in the de- tail specification. The transmitter shall be subjected to an endurance test in accordance with 4.5.10 except it shall be oper- ated for 60,000 cycles in lieu of 10,000 cycles. 4.5.12 Temperature-al ti tude. The temperature-al titude test shall be cond

30、ucted in accordance with MIL-STD-810, method 504, pro- cedure Z (except temperature shall be -55OC) with chamber pressure equivalent to an altitude of 35,000 feet. Rate ofpressure change shall not exceed an average of 3 psi per second while under these conditions. At the end of a 1-hour period, a sc

31、ale and friction error test shall be conducted. Errors shall not exceed tolerances specified in the detail specification. This test may be conducted concurrently with the low temperature exposure test. test shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-810, method 502, procedure I. Transmitter shall

32、 be exposed to a temperature of -620 plus or minus 2OC for a minimum of 48 hours after which it shall be operated throughout its range while at the s eclfied temperature. maintained at this temperature for a minimum of 24 hours, At end of 24 hour period, the transmitter output shall be within low-te

The transmitter shall be placed in a temperature chamber and subjected to 232O t 10C for a period of 80 hours. It shall then be retu

35、rned to room-temperature for a minimum of 4 hours after which it shall be subjected to scale error test. Error shall not exceed room temperature tolerances speci- fied in the detail specification. 4.5.15 Humidi tv. Nonhermetical ly . sealed transmitters shall be Imnediqtely after completion subjecte

36、d to a humidity test in accordance with MIL-STD-810, method 507, procedure I. External connections to the transmftter shall be made to simulate instal led conditions. of this test, the transmitter shall be subjected to dielectric strength, and scale and friction error tests. 37、toler- ances specified in the detail specification. 4.5*16 Salt fa The transmitter shall be subjected to a salt - fog test in accor _ag ance with MIL-STD-810, method 509, procedure I, for a period of 50 hours. Nonhemetically sealed transmitters shall be subjected to a fungus test in accordance with MIL-STD-810, method 508, procedure I, after completion of the qualification o

40、r prepro- duction tests (as applicable). The instrument shall previously have r. been subjected to salt fog test. The transmitter shall be disassem- bled so that internal mechanism will be exposed to the fungus spores. At end of the test period, the transmitter shall be examined to de- termine that

41、no fungus growth has occurred. subjected to a radio noise interference test in accordance with MIL-STD-461 except that radiated noise shall be within the range of O. 15 to 150 megacycles. 4.5.18 Radio noise interference. This test shall be conducted with the transmitter secured by

44、engine mount connection or adjacent hex nut only. The transmitter shall then be subjected to sealing test at ambient temperature, Scale error shall not ex- ceed tolerances for ambient temperature specified in the detail speci- fi Ca ti on. 4.5.21 Overpressure. lhe transmitter shall be subjected to 1

45、00 percent overpressure for a-period of 10 minutes. At least 1 hour after conclusion of this test, the transmitter shall be subjected to scale-error test using increasing pressure only.
