Chemical Composition6.1 Each alloy shall conform to the chemical composition requirements prescribed in Table 1.7. Heat Treatment7.1 Precipitation
30、Hardening (PH) Stainless Steels:7.1.1 Bolting materials ordered to a Type or UNS designation only shall be furnished in the solution treated condition inaccordance with Table 2 or Table 3. Age hardened bolting materials ordered to both a Type and Condition shall meet therequirements of Table 3.7.2 D
31、uplex (Ferritic-Austenitic) Stainless Steels:7.2.1 Duplex Stainless (Ferritic-Austenitic) Steels shall be furnished in the solution-annealed condition as noted in Table 4.8. 43、 or threaded section with no failure, or indications of failure, such as cracks, at the junction of the head and shank.Wedge tensile testing is not required for flat countersunk head or socket button products.8.4 Hardness Test:8.4.1 Bolting Material Bars 2 in. 50 mm and OverOne test on each mill-tre
44、ated length.8.4.2 Bolting Material Bars Under 2 in. 50 mmOne test on at least 10 % of the mill treated lengths.9. Nuts9.1 Nuts made from the grades listed in this specification shall be furnished when specified in the purchase order. Themechanical test requirements of Section 8 apply in addition to
45、requirements specified in the purchase order or contract. Hardnesstesting shall be done following the completion of all production heat treatment operations. See S5 for proof load testing and S6for cross-sectional hardness testing.10. Certification10.1 Certification is required. In addition to the r
46、equirements of A962/A962M (see the section in A962/A962M titled“Certification”), the report shall include results of the chemical analysis, mechanical tests and state the method of heat treatmentemployed.11.
