Dimensions and Permissible Variations6.1 Cornerbeads shall have an interior angle between theflanges no greater than 89.6.2 Accessories shall be free of twist or camber of a degreethat will prevent their use in th
25、e assembly for which they areintended.6.3 Length tolerances shall be 6316 in. (64.8 mm).6.4 The size of the edge trim shall suit the thickness of thegypsum board used.6.5 The minimum width of the flange of formed metal orplastic (not paper faced) cornerbeads shall be78 in. (22 mm).6.6 The minimum fl
26、ange width of paper faced metal orpaper faced plastic cornerbead shall be12 in. (13 mm).6.7 If paper faced metal or paper faced plastic cornerbead isintended to be attached to wallboard using joint compound orother adhesive alone, and requires the wings for adhesion, thenthe wings of the cornerbead
27、shall have a minimum width of12in. (13 mm).7. Appearance7.1 Edges of accessories shall be free of burrs and sharpedges.8. Configuration8.1 Flanges of accessories, when required to be attached toframing members, shall have punch outs to accommodatefastening to the framing members. When required to me
28、etperformance requirements, the flanges shall be either knurled,made of mesh, deformed, expanded, or otherwise shaped tomeet the performance requirements and intended use. Fig. 1depicts the most commonly used shapes.NOTE 1Other types of accessories designed for special finish appli-cation (bull-nose
29、, cove, and so forth) shall be manufactured in accordancewith the general requirements of this specification.9. Sampling9.1 At least 0.25 % of the number of each type of accessoryin a shipment, but not less than three pieces, shall be selectedto represent the shipment and shall constitute a sample f
30、or thepurpose of tests by the purchaser or user.10. Inspection10.1 Inspection of the accessories shall be agreed uponbetween the purchaser and the supplier as part of the purchaseorder.11. Rejection and Rehearing11.1 Rejection of accessories that fail to conform to therequirements of this specificat
31、ion shall be reported to theproducer or supplier promptly and in writing within 10working days from receipt of shipment by the purchaser. Thenotice of rejection shall contain a specific statement of therespect in which the accessories have failed to conform to therequirements of this specification.
32、In case of dissatisfactionwith the results of the test, at the request of the producer orsupplier, such notice of rejection shall be supported by resultsof a test conducted by a mutually agreeable independentlaboratory.12. Certification12.1 When specified in the purchase order, a producers orsupplie
33、rs certification that the product meets the requirementsof this specification shall be furnished to the purchaser.13. Packaging and Package Marking13.1 Accessories shall be packaged to ensure safe deliveryby common or other carriers.13.2 When shipped for resale, the name of the manufactureror seller
