15、ents for materials, quality, workmanship and functional dimensions (other than connecting dimensions) for pedestal and wall hung bidets over rim supply, for use with pillar taps or centre set with pop-up waste. 2 References The titles of the publications referred to in this standard are listed on th
16、e inside back cover. 3 Marking Bidets manufactured to the requirements of this standard shall be permanently marked with the following information. a) The manufacturers name or identification mark. b) The number of this British Standard, i.e.BS5505-3. c) Either EN 35 or EN 36 as appropriate. 4 Inspe
17、ction The purchaser or his representative shall, if required, be granted facilities for the purpose of carrying out inspection prior to delivery. 5 Rejection The purchaser shall have the option of rejecting any bidet purporting to meet the requirements of BS5505 if it fails to meet any of the requir
18、ements laid down therein. Minor imperfections which do not affect the appearance or efficiency of the article shall not constitute valid reasons for rejection. Section 2. Materials, quality and workmanship 6 Materials Bidets shall be manufactured from vitreous china. 7 Quality Vitreous china bidets
19、shall comply with the requirements of BS 3402. 8 Floor fixing holes A minimum of two floor fixing holes shall be provided. 9 Overflow An overflow, if provided, shall have an aperture area of not less than 600 mm 2 . 10 Tap platform The level of the top of the platform that accommodates the taps shal
20、l not be below the spillover level of the bidet irrespective of the overflow slot. 11 Soap sinking(s) Any soap sinking shall adequately drain into the bowl and not into the overflow. Section 3. Functional dimensions (other than connecting dimensions) 12 General Bidets shall comply with the functiona
21、l dimensions given in Table 1, Table 2 and Table 3 (see Figure 1), and the connecting dimensions given in BS 5505-1 EN 35 or BS 5505-2 EN 36 as appropriate.
