SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an aluminum multi-void tube which is coated with zinc. 2. APPLICATION This material was released originally for tubes used in

3、brazed aluminum condensers. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 CHEMICAL COMPOSITION (Weight %) (ASTM E 227) Silicon plus Iron 0.95 m

4、ax Copper 0.05 - 0.20 Manganese 0.05 max Zinc 0.10 max Each Other Element 0.05 max Total Other Elements 0.15 max Aluminum 99.00 min 3.3 ZINC COATING REQUIREMENTS 3.3.1 Percentage of Zinc (TBD) The amount of zinc as measured on the tube flat surfaces shall be 8 to 12 grams per square meter of surface

5、 area. 3.3.2 Surface Roughness (TBD) The roughness average for the zinc coating surface shall not exceed 30 micrometers. 3.3.3 Zinc Uniformity (TBD) The zinc coating will be uniform around the periphery of tube, and shall not peel or show signs of delamination when the tube is subject to a 180 bend

7、mm, min 30% The temper as supplied should be such that tube material dissolution by the braze filler is kept to a minimum during the braze process. 3.5 LOT CONTROL The supplier shall prepare, for each lot of every shipment, a certificate of inspection for items 3.2 through 3.4 of this specification. This information will be forwarded to the appropriate Ford Manufacturing Engineering Activity.
