It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW3136. 1. PUR
、POSE This standard aims at specifying examine visible light transmission of safety glass for automobiles. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to the safety glass(laminated glass with a high molecular film) for the front glass of automobiles 3. EQUIPMENT 3.1. Spectrophotometer 3.2. Wavelength range Clear
、: 510 nm, Green : 625 nm 3.3. Total wavelength range : 200 - 900 nm 3.4. Light source : An incandescent lamp lighting at a colour temperature of 285650K. 4. TEST SAMPLE (SPECIMENS) Samples are made in the following manner, laminated glass and tempered glass, depending on types. 4.1. Laminated glass
、: Cut out 115mm by 40mm from the product or test piece to make a sample. Laminated glass prepared by cutting the same material as the product to the sample size may serve as a sample. 4.2. Tempered glass : Cut out from plate glass of the same test area with the product to 15mm by 40mm. 5. TEST PROCE
、DURE 5.1. Illuminate the sample in the direction perpendicular to its surface and collect all light transmitted in all direction. 5.2. Light shall not include rays having inclination of 5or more from the center line. Center line inclination of rays shall be 2with respect to perpendicular direction o
、f the sample surface. 5.3. Adjust indication of the instrument when transmission object is not inserted to the calculated value by standard ray. In order to minimize measurement error, it is desirable to adjust colorimeter scale by using the reference sample whose spectral transmission curve is simi
、lar to that of the sample. Get the spectral transmission of the sample, and present the stimulus value with respect to
、 standard ray in percentage to have it as visible light transmission. 6. EVALUATION OF TEST RESULT Test shall be done with 3 samples. When all three show visible light transmission of 70% or more, samples are accepted. When only one of them shows transmission of 70% or more, samples are rejected. When two of them are accepted, test with 3 new samples. If all new samples show transmission of 70% or more, they are accepted. 7. REFERENCE KS L 2007 Test of safety glass for automobiles
