Characterization of bulbs The bulbs must carry following inscriptions(stamp values) on the lamp socket, or if the action

15、 of bulb is not inadmissibly impaired by this, on the glass bulb: Manufacturer mark Official test certificate of approval of type(so far as necessary) Nominal voltage in V Nominal power in W These details must be well-legibly and durably labeled. 7.1.2. Lamp cap The lamps must be manufactured with the lamp cap determined for the corresponding lamp type. The dimensions and tolerances of lamp cap are determined in DIN-s

22、heets. The DIN-sheet valid for the lamp cap is stated in the table 11.1. As material for the lamp cap brass, nickel-plated brass, stainless steel of quality X6 CrMo 17, material No. 14 113 to DIN 17 440 or polyamide PA 6.6(EDS-M-5101-21 or similar to unaffected by other materials requires a special

At the lamp types R2 and H4 the connection between adjusting plate and lamp cap must resist a force of minimum 400N applied axially, arranged in assembly direction of plug without dam

The form of soldering bead on the socket may not impair the perfect insertion of lamp into the lamp socket. The maximum diameter of

25、lamp cap may be exceeded around maximum 1mm by the lateral soldering bead. The end of lead may not protrude from the soldering bead. The socket leads may not form any internal short-circuit and may not be interchanged with 2 radiant bodies at bulbs. 7.1.5. Connection glass bulb-lamp cap The connecti

The minimum value for the strength of connection of glass bul

This limiting value may not be fallen short of after a condensed water-climate test to EDS-T-7005 -D2-. 7.2. Mechanical requirements 7.2.1. Dimensions The geometric

28、 shapes of radiant bodies of bulbs represented in the respective standard sheets are to be observed. The position of radiant bodies is measured at connected lamp at 90% to 100% of test voltage. Start and end of a straight radiant body are determined on the helical figures in a parallel projection ve

For the determinat

30、ion of dimension in the image plane the dimension line is laid radiant bodies and parallel to this at transversal lamps. For evaluation only the vertexes are applied, which belong to (light) luminous helical motions, and at which the figures of outgoing helical parts form an angle of maximum 90to ea

31、ch other. At axial radiant bodies the utmost possible position of respective vertex is to be determined by turning the lamp, at transversal radiant bodies the radiant body is laid vertical to the direction of projection EDS-T-5242MOTOR VEHICLE BULB PAGE: 5/11 ISSUED DATE: 1995. 03. 14 REVISED DATE:

32、2008. 10. 27 VERSION: 3 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 7.2.2. Compressive strength of glass bulb The test is performed between 2 plane steel plates which have a 2mm thick coating of VMQ-elastomer 60 IRHD. The one plate is fixed and the other one moves with a speed of stress of 3mm/min. The force is reg

33、istered, at which the glass bulb breaks. The minimum compressive force, which the glass bulb must endure, is specified in the table 11.2 as bulb compressive strength. 7.2.3. Torsional strength of connection of glass bulb and lamp cap. For the test the lamp cap is inserted into a special lamp socket

34、or kept in a boring socket. Over the bulb a suitable cone is shifted which has inside a coating of 2mm thick NR-elastomer(60 IRHD). The torsion of a holder is performed with a speed of 2 / min. The torque is measured, until the socket cementing no more stop. This torque must lie over the minimum val

35、ue of strength of the socket cementing specified in the table 11.2. 7.2.4. Plug drawoff force At the 12V 55W H3-bulb the drawoff force for the plug after opening the strain-relief shall amount 120N. 7.2.5. The requirements determined in clause 7.2.1 to 7.2.4 must be satisfied at initial sampling, re

36、lease test and continuous quality control of all tested lamps(lot size minimum 20 bulbs). 7.3. Electric and photometric requirements 7.3.1. General conditions The measurements are to be performed with direct current. For the measurement of the electric values instruments at least of the accuracy cla

37、ss 0.2 are to be used. Before the measurement of initial values the bulbs must be aged 60 min. at the respective test voltage in working position. At bulbs with 2 radiant bodies both radiant bodies must be aged independent of each other(low beam body first). Air drawers are not valued. 7.3.2. Power

38、input After the one-hour aging the power input of the bulb is determined from the measurement of current and voltage, at which the voltage is tapped directly at the measuring socket(separate contact pairs for current and voltage). If necessary internal consumption of voltmeter is to be drawn off fro

39、m the current indicated on the ammeter. The output values specified for the different lamp types are to be taken from the table 11.3. 7.3.3. Photometry The measurement of luminous-flux of the bulbs is performed with the Ulbricht sphere-type photometer according to the method specified in DIN 5032, p

40、art 1 at test voltage at the measuring socket. The measurement is performed after the one-hour aging and besides after reaching the 75% of average life. The values of luminous-flux specified for the different lamp types and the permissible percentage decrease of luminous-flux of an individual lamp o

41、r of an annealing coil after reaching the 75% of average life are specified in the table 11.3. EDS-T-5242MOTOR VEHICLE BULB PAGE: 6/11 ISSUED DATE: 1995. 03. 14 REVISED DATE: 2008. 10. 27 VERSION: 3 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 7.3.4. The requirements determined in clause 7.3.1 to 7.3.3 must be satis

The life test can be performed also with alternating current, if this has a frequency between 40Hz and 60Hz. The minimum value for the average life

44、 is recorded in the table 11.3 for every type of lamp. 7.4.2. Bulbs with a radiant body All bulbs with a radiant body are, so far as special specifications for lamps for definite applications are not continuously existing, tested at test voltage according to following switching rhythm: 11h 45 min ON

45、 15 min OFF 7.4.3. Bulbs with a radiant body which are used in the signaling service. Bulbs, which come into operation for the direction-or warning signaling in the vehicle, are tested in interconnection with blinker unit at 13.5V test voltage at the bulb.(Blinker frequency 1.5Hz: switching time cir

46、cuit-breaking time: operating rhythm 15s blink -15s out). The useful life of the tested lamps results as of the operating time in the test stand. 7.4.4. Bulbs with two radiant bodies which are inserted into the signal lamps The current supply to this lamp testing instrument is connected 11h 45 min a

47、nd disconnected 15 min. Into the current supply to the main coil of lamp to be tested a further time switch is connected, which connects the main coil 1 min. and disconnects 1 min. The current supply to the secondary coil is first of all interrupted. After reaching of a switching time of the main co

48、il of the half of minimum value of average life, the secondary coil is connected to the current supply to the lamp testing instrument, that is, the secondary coil is continuously connected up to the 15 min pause. The switching rhythm for the main coil is retained, until this or the secondary coil fa

49、ils. 7.4.5. Bulbs with 2 radiant bodies for headlamp Bulbs with 2 radiant bodies for headlamp are tested to following switching rhythm: Radiant body for low beam 15h ON 45 min OFF Then radiant body for high beam 7.5h ON 45 min OFF Following tests can be alternatively performed: Radiant body for low beam 2 min ON, 1min OFF. During the circuit-breaking time of radiant body of low beam the high beam body is switch on for 1 min and is EDS-T-5242MOTOR VEHICLE BULB PAGE: 7/11 ISSUED DATE: 1995. 03. 14 REVISED DATE: 2008. 10. 27 VERSION: 3 GM DAEWOO Aut
