4、to UL 1610 receiver equipment utilizing redundant receiver computersystems.NEW 25A Central Supervisory Station Equipment25A.1 This section describes alternate methods for the evaluation of central supervisory station equipmentmeeting the conditions specified in 25A.2. This section does not apply to
5、equipment intended for use atthe protected premise such as control units, intrusion detection units, and the like.25A.2 Receiving equipment meeting all the conditions specified in 25A.2 (a) (m) need not be subjectedto Sections 27 29 and 31-51.a) Data processing equipment and office appliance and bus
6、iness equipment used as centralsupervisory station equipment shall comply with The Standard for Information TechnologyEquipment, UL 60950.b) The manufacturer specifies the minimum system configuration consisting of the following:1) Operating system and revision level.2) Microprocessor type, minimum
7、revision level and minimum clock speed.3) Minimum disk storage.4) Minimum memory requirements.5) Monitoring software revision level.c) A system meeting, but not exceeding the specifications of 25A.2 (b), shall be submitted forcompliance with those tests not specified in this paragraph.d) The install

9、tion instructions shall specify signal line transient protection complying with theStandard for Protectors for Data Communications and Fire Alarm Circuits, UL 497B, with amaximum marked rating of 50 V.f) The installation instructions shall specify that communication circuits and networkcomponents co
10、nnected to the telecommunications network shall be protected by secondaryprotectors for communication circuits. These protectors shall comply with the Standard forSecondary Protectors For Communications Circuits, UL 497A. These protectors shall be usedonly in the protected side of the telecommunicat
11、ions network.g) The installation instructions shall indicate that equipment be installed in a temperaturecontrolled environment. A temperature controlled environment is defined as one that can bemaintained between 13 35C (55 95F) by the HVAC system. Twenty-four hours of standbypower shall be provide
12、d for the HVAC system. The standby power system for the HVAC systemmay be supplied by an engine driven generator alone. A standby battery is not required to beused.h) All receiving equipment shall be completely duplicated with provision for switchover to thebackup system within 30 seconds. The backu
13、p system shall be fully operational within 6minutes of the loss of the primary system. This allows 30 seconds for the backup system to befully energized and connected to necessary communication lines and other devices, followed by5-1/2 minutes for the system to boot up, conduct memory tests, file sy
14、stem check, securityverifications and prepare for full system operation. The backup computer shall have equivalentor greater capabilities of the primary, such as memory, speed and the like.i) Failure of the main computer system, hard disk, and alarm monitor shall result in switchoverto the backup sy
15、stem and shall be indicated by an audible or obvious visual indication.j) The installation instructions shall specify that a fault tolerant system may be used in lieu ofcomplete duplication of the system if every component in the fault tolerant system, including thesoftware and the power supply, is
16、duplicated.k) The installation instructions shall specify that in addition to the main power supply andsecondary power supply that are required to be provided at the central supervisory station, thesystem shall be provided with an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) with sufficient capacity tooperate
17、 the computer equipment for a minimum of 15 minutes. If more than 15 minutes isrequired for the secondary power supply to supply the UPS input power, the UPS shall becapable of providing input power for at least that amount of time.l) The installation instructions shall specify that the UPS shall co
18、mply with the Standard forUninterruptable Power Supply Equipment, UL 1778, or the Standard for Fire ProtectiveSignaling Devices, UL 1481.m) The installation instructions shall specify that in order to perform maintenance and repairservice, a means for disconnecting the input to the UPS while maintai
