The object of IEC is to promoteinternatio

Tothis end and in addition to other activities, IEC publishes International Standards, Technical Specifications,Technical Reports, Publicly Available Specifications (PAS) and Guides (hereafter refer

International, governmental and non-governmental organizations liaising with the IEC also participate in th

IEEE develops its standards through a consensusdevelopment process, which brings together volunteers representing varied viewp

While IEEEadministers the process and establishes rules to promote fairness in the consensus development process, IEEEdoes not independently evaluate, test, or verify the a

The formal decisions of IEEE on technical matters, once consensus within IEEE Societiesand Standards Coordinating Committees has been reached, is determined by a balanced ballot of materiallyinterested parties who indicate interest in reviewing the proposed standa
