(See contract provisions for additional precedence criteria). 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials. Materials shall be in accordance wi
21、th applicable drawings and specifications. 3.1.1 Interface de finition. The fuze shall be fitted to the desired projectile by means of a threaded plug with 2.0-12 UNS-1A threads. No other mechanical or electrical interfaces with the selected projectile is required. 3.2 Co mrsonents a nd assemb lies.
22、 The components and assemblies shall comply with all requirements specified on the Drawings 12551000 for the M762 and 12551001 for the M767 less booster, all associated drawings and with all requirements specified in applicable specifications and standards. 4 Licensed by Information Handling Service

The fuze shall be capable of being activated and set manually or inductively for functioning times from 0.5 to 199.9 seconds in 0.1 second increments. When the set time is r
24、eached, the fuze shall cause the projectile to function in an air burst mode within f 0.3 seconds of the set time in the temperature range -45 degrees F to +145 degrees F. 3.3.2 Imnact mode. The fuze shall be capable of being activated and set manually or inductively to an impact mode and shall be f
25、unctional in the impact mode no earlier than 500 ms after muzzle exit. 3.3.3 $a fe and arm dev ice. The contractors quality program plan or detailed i
26、nspection plan shall include documented statistical process controls (SPC). The SPC plan shall be submitted to the contracting officer for review and approval by the Cognizant Technical Agency (CTA) in accordance the contract (see 6.8). The contractor shall not initiate production without written ap
27、proval from the contracting officer. Once approved, if SPC is used for process control purposes only, the contractor may change process control parameters or add new SPC features as necessary. However, if SPC is used for acceptance purposes, the contractor shall not change the SPC without written ap
28、proval from the Contracting Officer. 3.4.1 Process v ields. A system shall be implemented for the reporting and monitoring of process yields. The yield at each inspection station shall be determined. First time seen and rework shall be reported separately. Multiple defects, when due to a single even
29、t or common cause, shall be counted as a single defect and classified in accordance with MIL-STD-1520. All rejects, including reworkable rejects, shall be counted. A system of defect codes is to be used, so as to adequately describe the reason for rejection. During the time manufacturing is in proce
30、ss, the following yield information shall be reported monthly to the procuring activity as an update of the process yield history. a. 31、 The percentage of defects by defect codes, counting only rejects, not counting rework, and including the identification of the inspection/test station. 3.4.2 Process t rends a nd ale rt svste m. A history of the process yields shall be kept so that adverse trends that indicate process problems can
32、be readily observed. An alert system shall be utilized to institute investigations and corrective actions when yields fall below the criteria established by the manufacturer. The alert thresholds shall be clearly marked on the yield reports. 3.4.3 Co ntrol o f srocesses . The contractor shall consta
33、ntly control all processes. Control shall be demonstrated through completion of the following: a. Process documentation shall list all control parameters, e.g., time, temp, etc., and associated specifications and requirements. b. Process documentation shall define control limits for all control para
34、meters. c. Process documentation shall detail set-up requirements, including sketches of machines and typical settings. d. Process documentation shall provide for sample inspection as elements of process acceptance, and the feedback of evaluation results to adjust the process control limits. e. Proc
35、ess documentation shall include a system for setting and monitoring controlled parameters such as machine settings of temperature and time. f. Process documentation shall provide a system for recording records of machine calibration for all control parameters. g. Process documentation shall provide
36、a system for process audits at two-week maximum intervals. 3.5 Ballistic functioninq. 3.5.1 Time set . When set to the Point Detonation (PD) mode, the fuze shall cause the projectile to function on impact with a six inch minimum thick plywood target if impact occurs after a flight time of 500 ms or more after muzzle exit. When fired at this target so that impact occurs at 400
38、 calibers of muzzle exit, the fuze shall not function when impacting the target. 3.5.3 Premature (see 6. 7.1) or earlv bu rsts (see 6. 7.2)- There shall be no premature bursts or early bursts in the gun tube or in-flight. 3.6 Environmental reauirementg. 3.6.1 $to racle . The fuze, in its standard pa
39、cking container, shall be capable of being stored in a -60 degree F to +160 degree F environment and remain safe and operable in a -45 degree F to +145 degree F environment, according to TABLE I-C of this specification. 3.6.2 Loffistic vibration. The fuze shall meet the requirements of ITOP 1-2-601,
