Responsibility for Quality Assurance5.1 Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchaseorder, the producer shall be responsible for the performance ofall inspections and test requirements specified herein. Unles
40、sotherwise agreed upon, the producer may use his own or anyother suitable facilities for the performance of the inspectionand test requirements specified herein. The purchaser shallhave the right to perform any of the inspections and tests setforth in the specification where such inspections are dee
41、mednecessary to confirm that the material conforms to prescribedrequirements.6. Manufacture6.1 The responsibility of furnishing castings that can be laidout and machined to the finished dimensions within thepermissible variations specified, as shown on the blueprints ordrawings, shall rest with the
42、producer, except where moldequipment is furnished by the purchaser.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The product shall conform to the chemical compositionlimits prescribed in Table 1. Conformance shall be determinedby the producer by taking samples at the time castings arepoured in accordance with E 716 an
43、d analyzed in accordancewith E 607, E 1251, E34,orCEN EN 14242. If the producerhas determined the composition of the material during casting,they shall not be required to sample and analyze the finishedproduct.7.2 If it becomes necessary to analyze castings for conform-ance to chemical composition l
44、imits, the method used tosample castings for the determination of chemical compositionshall be by agreement between the producer and the purchaser.Analysis shall be performed in accordance with E 716, E 607,E 1251, E34,orCEN EN 14242 (ICP method).7.3 Other methods of analysis or in the case of a dis
45、pute themethod of analysis shall be agreed upon by the producer andthe purchaser.7.4 A sample for determination of chemical compositionshall be taken to represent one of the following:7.4.1 Not more than 4000 lb 2000 kg of clean castings ora single casting poured from one furnace. The maximumelapsed
