、Designation: E2393 10aStandard Practice forOn-Site Inspection of Installed Fire Resistive Joint Systemsand Perimeter Fire Barriers1This standard is issued under the fixed designation E2393; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of rev

、ision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This practice covers the establishment of procedures toinspect fire resistive joint systems, includ

、ing methods for fieldverification and inspection.1.2 This practice addresses all types of fire resistive jointsystems and of perimeter joint protection.NOTE 1Fire resistive joint system and joint are defined in TestMethod E1966 and UL 2079.NOTE 2Perimeter joint protection is defined in Test Method E

、2307.NOTE 3Fire resistive joint systems include joints between two fireresistive assemblies, and perimeter joints between a fire resistive floorassembly and a non-fire-resistive wall assembly. The application of thesesystems are sometimes extended based on an evaluation to other types ofconstruction

、.1.3 This practice provides methods by which qualifiedinspectors verify that required fire resistive joint systems on aproject have been installed and that their installations are inaccordance with the inspection documents.1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard.
