7、00002 Technical Requirements for TESTING OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT Secretariat Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions Approved May, 2005 Abstract This Technical Requirements document deals with an alternative to the testing requirements of telecommunications equipment. ATIS-0600002

8、 ii FOREWORD The Alliance for Telecommunication Industry Solutions (ATIS) serves the public through improved understanding between carriers, customers, and manufacturers. The Network Interface, Power, and Protection Committee (NIPP) - formerly T1E1 - develops and recommends standards and technical r

9、eports. The standards and technical reports are related to power systems, electrical and physical protection for the exchange and interexchange carrier networks, and interfaces associated with user access to telecommunications networks. This equipment may incorporate primary protection for communica

10、tion circuits, or have provision for the installation of Listed primary protectors. Equipment of this type may form the telecommunications network or connect to a telecommunications network. If it has telecommunications ports that form or connect to the network, the voltages permitted on the telecom

11、munications conductors may not exceed 200V peak to ground, 300V peak-to-peak (duration limited), or 300VDC between conductors. Telecommunications ports on this type of equipment that connect directly with an end customer shall comply with the requirements of UL60950-1 or safer limits as defined in t

12、his requirements document. Information contained in informative annexes is not considered part of these Technical Requirements but is auxiliary to the specification. Similarly, footnotes are informative. This Technical Requirements document was processed and approved for submittal to ATIS by the NIP

13、P Technical Committee. Committee approval of this Technical Report does not necessarily imply that all committee members voted for its approval. 49、nstalled in central offices (CO), at the customer premises (CP) or in outside plant cabinets/enclosures. This Technical Requirements document is intended to cover only equipment installed on the network side of the subscriber demarcation point, up to and including the Subscriber Interface Unit (SIU), Network Interface Unit (NIU) or Network Interface Device (NID).
