SCOPE This specification defines the performance requirements for coating over lead and steel substrates exposed to severe exterior service conditions. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released o
3、riginally for painted wheel balance weights. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 COATING Shall be a continuous film free or blisters,
4、 bubbles, foreign material, and similar imperfections. 3.5 FILM PROPERTIES 3.5.1 Film Thickness 38 - 76 micrometre (FLTM BI 117-01) 3.5.2 Initial hardness Production parts shall be sufficiently cured at time of packing to withstand normal handling without marring. 3.6 SALT SPRAY, min 500 h (ASTM B 1
5、17) No red rust or white corrosion allowed. 3.7 THERMAL SHOCK TEST (FLTM BI 107-05) No loss of adhesion or blistering 3.8 WATER RESISTANCE 240 h (FLTM BI 104-01 except 38 +/- 2 C) No blistering, dulling or loss of adhesion after applying tape (ESB-M3G48-A) overcoated or painted areas that have been scribed with an X after exposure to water.
