In the event of a conflict between the text of this

19、 document and the references cited herein, the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3, REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article. When specified (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected

20、 to first article inspection (see 6.4) in accordance with 4.4. 3.2 Desian and construction. The design and construction of the bomb shall be in accordance with the requirements specified herein and with the applicable drawings and documents for the bomb being procured (see 3.3). 3.3 Explosive 1-oadi

21、ng. Explosive loading shall be in accordance with the applicable loading drawings as follows: 1380911, MK 84 MOD 2, listed on DL 138091 1 , 4902049, MK 84 MOD 3 1 i sted on DL 4902049, 923AS104, MK 84 MOD 4, listed on DL 923AS104, 923AS107, MK 84 MOD 5, listed on DL 923AS107, 923AS519, MK 84 MOD 6,

22、DL 923AS519, and 923AS527, MK 84 MOD 7 , 1 i sted on DL 923AS527. 3.4 Explosive composition, The explosive composition used in loading the assembly shall be tritonal 80/20 or H-6 explosive composition as specified by the acquiring activity (see 6.2). 3.4.1 Tri tonal (80/20) explosive composition, Tr

23、itonal (80/20) explosive composition shall consist of 80% f. 3% trinitrotoluene (TNT) and 20% 3% aluminum (see 4.6.2). 3.4.2 H-6 explosive composition. H-6 explosive composition shall conform to the requirements of MIL-E-22267 (see 4.6.2). . asphal tic compound on the interior surfaces of the bomb a

24、ssembly shall be in accordance with the applicable loading drawing (see 3.3) when tested as specified in 4.5 and 4.6.3. 3.5 Weiaht of applied asphaltic compound. 27、A 3.8 Markinq. Each bomb shall be marked as specified on the applicable loading drawing (see 3.3). 3.9 Horkmanship. All interior bomb surfaces requiring application of asphal tic compound shall be free of chips,. dirt, oi 1, grease, rust, and other materi al before applying asphal ti c compound and,

28、 before loading of explosive charge. Outer bomb skin and other surfaces shall be free of chips, dirt, rust, or other imperfections. All interior surfaces of the bomb assembly shall be completely coated and shall be protected from contamination, The cleaning method used to remove explosive material f

29、rom the exterior surfaces of the bomb, fuze cavities, charging tubes, and threads shall not be injurious to any of the parts nor shall the parts be contaminated by the cleaning method. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsi bi li tv for insDection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or

30、 purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of al 1 inspection requirements (examinations and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other faci 1 i ties sui table for the performance of

31、 the inspection requirements speci fi ed herei n, un1 ess disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.

32、 4.1.1 Responsibilitv for compliance All items shall meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5, The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall no

33、t re1 ieve the contractor of the responsi bi 1 i ty of ensuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with al 1 requirements of the contract. Sampling inspection, as part of manufacturing operations, is an acceptable practice to ascertain conformance to requ

34、irements, however, this does not authorize submission of known defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to accept defective material. 4.2 Classification of insDections. The inspect herein are classified as fol lows: ion requirements specified a. First article

35、 inspection (see 4.4). b. Quality conformance inspection (see 4.5). 4.3 Inspection equipment. The inspection equipment required to perform the examinations and tests prescribed in this specification shall be in accordance with inspection equipment which has been reviewed or provided by an approved G

36、overnment test faci 1 i ty. 4.3.1 Inspection equirment data, Inspection equipment lists and detailed drawings for contractor designed inspection equipment shall be prepared and be available to the acquiring activity as specified in the contract or purchase order (see 4.3.2, 6.2, and 6.3). When specified by the acquiring activity, contractor designed inspection equipment shall be in accordance with 4.3

38、.2.1 through 4.3.2.5. 4.3.2.1 Inspection equipment lists. Inspection equipment lists shall be prepared by the contractor in accordance with DOD-D-1000 (see 6.31, indicating the avai labi 1 i ty of inspection equipment designs, the numbers of drawings, or Federal Stock Numbers of existing equipment d

39、esigns, or codes as indicated in 4.3.2.2. Design action required of the contractor is described in 4.3.2.3 and 4.3.2.4. The contractor wi 11 be required to prepare detai 1 ed drawings in accordance with 4.3.2.4 for all the equipment coded as Yontractor Design.“ These contractor designs shall be appr

40、oved by the Government prior to fabrication or procuring of the equipment. Designs shall be avai lab1 e for approval as specified in 4.3.2.5. 4.3.2.2 Inspection equipment list codes. The inspection equipment as defined in 4.3.2.3 and 4.3.2.4 will be designated by the following codes: CD - Contractor

41、 design on .controlled contractor format or commercial equi.pment. DOD - Mi 1 i tary design, mandatory for use. 4.3.2.3 Militarv designs. Military designs are reflected on detailed drawings which completely depict al 1 the information necessary for the fabrication of the item of inspection equipment

42、. The contractor need provide no design when a mi 1 i tary design is 1 i sted for an i tem of inspection equipment. Military designs fall into two basic classifications: mandatory (designated llDOD1l) and non-mandatory (indicated by drawing or Federal Stock Number). When an inspection equipment list

43、 references mandatory mi li tary designs, the contractor shall comply with and use these designs accordingly. The contractor may, however, in connection with non-mandatory designs and with the approval of the Government, design al ternate inspection equipment or use comparable commercial equipment t

44、o faci 1 i tate hi S operations. Such contractor prepared designs or commercial equipment selections shall be approved by the Government prior to fabrication or procuring of the equipment. Designs shall be available for approv.al as specified in 4.3.2.5. 4.3.2.4 Contractor desiuns. Contractor design

45、s are designs of inspection equipment for which the Government has assigned design responsibility to the contractor. Contractor designs shall be supported by detai 1 ed drawings which depict al 1 the information. necessary to completely fabricate, cal i brate, and operate an i tem of inspection equi

46、pment. This requires that the necessary views, dimensions, materials, finish, notes, operating, and calibration instructions be properly depicted in accordance with approved practices to the extent that further calculation or clarification will not be required. Unless otherwise specified, contractor

47、 designs may be developed on the format the contractor normally employs in his equipment design procedures provided such format reflects the detail and information specified above, subject to the following controls: All available contractor designs shall conform to DOD-D-1000 (see 6.3). Legibility a

48、nd reproduci bi 1 i ty shall permit conventional making of clearly understandable, high contrast reproductions. The contractor shall make available one copy of final designs as a rol led set.
