Heatingmechanisms, such as wires or materials other thanpolyethylene, shall not exit the fitting in an area exposed tointernal pressure. If inthose tests all performance requirements are met, all dimension

Where the controlling pipe standard requirestesting at multiple temperatures, sustained pressure testingshall only be performed at the highest test temperature, not toexceed 180F (82C). If a pipe standard is not sp

Tensile tests must be made on specimensas joined, not on straps cut from the specimen. Yielding mustbe measured only in the pipe, indep

Dimensions, Mass, and Permissible Variations6.1 Dimension and tolerances of electrofusion fittings mustbe such that heat fusion is possible to outside diameter (OD)controlled PE pipes such as those listed in SpecificationsD2513, D2737, D3035, and F714 and PEX pipes listed inSpecifications F876

45、and F2788/F2788M, such that the jointswill satisfy the performance requirements in Section 5.6.2 Because of the varying designs for electrofusion fittings, the actual spread of dimensions may be quite different frommanufacturer to manufacturer. A table of dimensions andtolerances encompassing these d

48、information to befurnished. A few of these are: (1) maximum pipe out of round allowed atjoint area; (2) minimum/maximum pipe SDR capability of the fitting, and(3) for saddles intended for use on a live main, the maximum allowableline pressure when making the joint.7.
