20、d the Forum150 participants from Africa, Asia, Europe & North AmericaA National Forum on eBusiness was held in Dakar for Senegalese government & regional business officialsThe meetings highlighted the importance of global standards in international trade, in general, & in Africa, in particular,14th

21、UN/CEFACT Forum,Rome, Italy 20 - 24 April 2009,The 14th UN/CEFACT Forum,The Forum was hosted by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development & the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade The Under-Secretary for Trade, Mr Adolfo Urso, opened the Forum. Over 200 participants from all regions attended the

22、Forum. A seminar on “The Role of Trade Facilitation: Promoting Market Integration with a Focus on Africa” was held in parallel to the Forum. Participants included the EU Development Commissioner, Italian Minister for Economic Development, WTO, & OECD.,15th UN/CEFACT Forum,Sapporo, Japan 28 September

23、 - 2 October 2009,The 15th UN/CEFACT Forum,The Forum was organized by Japan Association for Simplification of International Trade procedures (JASTPRO) and the UN/CEFACT Japan Committee (JEC), under the auspices of:The Ministries of Finance (Customs Bureau) - Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry - M

24、inistry of Land, Infrastructure & Transportation - The Hokkaido Government and the City of Sapporo. The Director-General of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation, Mr Katsuyuki Ozaki and the Mayor of Sapporo, Mr Fumio Ueda opened the Forum. Over 180 participants from all regions att

25、ended the Forum. JASTPRO organized a seminar on “UN/CEFACT Standards & Recommendations” in parallel to the Forum which was attended by some 100 local attendees. A particular emphasis was placed on UN/CEFACTs standards for agriculture which was very important for the economy of Hokkaido.,OUTREACH,Pre

47、ivities in the Republic of Korea to harmonize with the UN/CEFACT Forum procedures has started.
